We will be closed until May 4, in keeping with Gov. Baker's latest stay-at-home advisory. Our online shop for coffee, tea, Cubze and other merchandise is up and running. Some folks have asked if it's possible to order goods for someone else. Absolutely! Since you can't meet up with friends, why not send them a pound of coffee and some chocolates! The pick up schedule for the "buy online/pickup in store" option, is Mon & Fri 10-1 and Wed by appointment. Your order will be left on a table inside the cafe foyer door to preserve social distance.
For those interested in a ground level view of how restaurants and cafes are trying to cope during the crisis, here's an example: My bank's portal for applying for the PPP loan opened yesterday sometime around 4:30 pm. I had prepared necessary documents ahead of time but the application changed literally overnight. By the time I had placed a call to my accountant to make sure I was submitting the right info, the bank was "currently not accepting applications due to overwhelming demand." You may also find interesting this letter to Gov. Baker signed by many Massachusetts restaurant owners (myself included).
